Figure Skating

Our skating school uses the Ice Skating Industry’s (ISI) class curriculum. Each level builds on the skills learned in the previous level. Successfully “passing” a level, indicates that a skater has a basic proficiency of the skill, but mastery will only come with continued practice.

During the second and third to last weeks of a class, students are tested. On the last day of class, students receive a progress report, which provides feedback on their progress and indicates what class the student should take in the next series. Each series varies from 8 to 12 weeks in length. As each level gets progressively more difficult, it is normal for students to have to repeat a level one or more times before passing.
